Let harmonious sound vibrations ease stress and anxiety in your day. Sound baths are deeply immersive, full-body listening experiences that use relaxing sound to create a healing environment. Sound baths have a positive impact on physical well-being and improve sleep quality.
This is open to members and any guests (members or not) who are 50+.
A limited number of tickets are available: Members are $15 and Guests 50+ are $20. There are no refunds.
Bring a blanket, pillow, and yoga mat. Take this time just for you.

Medicare Education
If thinking about Medicare gives you a headache, get some relief talking with Robert Nall.
He'll address Medicare, Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage.
Maybe the most important point: This is education, not a sales pitch.

Stroke Series: INTEGRIS Health
Members and guests 50+, join us for this new stroke series with a trusted community educator: the INTEGRIS James R. Daniel Stroke Center.
Sessions run monthly through December.
Learn how to recognize a stroke using the BEFASTT method and also about life after stroke for survivor and caregiver.
No reservation required. Just come and learn.

Backgammon group - NEW
We’ve got a new game group forming. Backgammon stimulates the brain, enhancing focus, memory, problem-solving and strategic thinking. Join us in the lobby to help kick off this weekly offering.

Fitness Orientation: Evening Session
New to weight training or want a refresher? We offer free fitness orientation sessions every Friday at 2 pm and one monthly evening session. Join us July 31 at 6 pm to hear about goal-setting as well as strength and balance training. You'll also see equipment demonstrations.

All orientation sessions begin in the Fitness Lobby area by the bikes.

Travel Meeting: 2026 Trips
Do you like to explore new destinations? Do you appreciate the assistance of an experienced guide? Come aboard with HLOKC for adventures, both domestic and international.
On Aug. 27, we’re hosting travel meetings to preview the seven trips planned for 2026. There are two time slots available: 12:30-1:30 pm and 6:30-7:30 pm.
Trips include air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, select meals, admission to scheduled attractions, tour guide, and more.
Travelers do not have to be Healthy Living OKC members. Anyone over 18 years of age is welcome.
Our tour partner, Collette, makes all the travel plans. You make all the memories.
September Art Class Enrollment
The list of September art classes will be available Aug. 22. Enrollment starts at 10 am via the Glofox app or in person.
While there can be a flurry of enrollments during that 10 o’clock hour, several classes remain open, enabling members to sign up any time before the class date as long as seats are still available.
There are separate supply fees for many offerings.

Bill Grissom on Guitar
Grab a seat in the lobby to hear Bill Grissom playing music from the 60s to the 80s.
Plan to meet friends for lunch and stay awhile. The Cafe will have drinks and food for sale.
You can also purchase grab-and-go items from Meridian Market. Each week, they fill the cold case with a variety of meals, snacks and sweets that you can heat and eat onsite or take home to enjoy.

HLOKC Garden Club
Our Soil Sisters & Misters meet Aug. 21 on the patio. This month’s topic will be preparing a fall/winter garden. Snacks are provided.

New Member Orientation
Whether you’re brand new to the center, been here a while, or simply want a refresher on services, join us for New Member Orientation. This is a relaxed session to hear what all Healthy Living OKC offers. Bring your questions and learn from others’ questions, too.

Karaoke Night: Summer Time
Take your turn at the mic as we gather round for karaoke. This month’s theme is “summer time” as we think about long, relaxed days - maybe some hot ones, too. Beaches and pool time. Family and friends.
Even if you don’t sing, just come to cheer others on.
The past couple of events have spurred some group dancing, too.

Longevity 101: Learn How to Save Lives
This month, our partnership with OU Health brings us a special alternative to the Longevity 101 in-person lecture presentations.
In the “Stop the Bleed” interactive course, attendees will watch and discuss videos demonstrating the three methods of bleeding control. Learn how to recognize and respond to life-threatening bleeding situations. Immediate action is critical, as severe bleeding can lead to death within minutes.
The class is free but size is limited due to hands-on practice with credentialed instructors.

Stop the Scammers with Sheryl Presley
Sheryl is TRIAD Coordinator and works closely with Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department to educate seniors.

All Favorites Sing-Along with Violins, Mandolins, and Guitars
We’re so fortunate to have members playing a variety of instruments - namely violins, mandolins, and guitars. And you’re fortunate that this event is open to the public. Come enjoy a sing-along featuring a variety of favorites spanning different decades.

Pickleball Lessons
We’ve got pickleball lessons on the first and third Mondays in August. The time slot is 2-4 pm, and members can sign up in the PB gym. The cost is $20 payable to the instructor on the day of play.
We also have two round robin events this month:
Aug. 11 - Women’s level 3 round robin
Aug. 25 - Men’s round robin
Both of these are also from 2-4 pm. There is no charge to play. Sign-up sheets are available the week prior in the PB gym.

Fall Arts & Craft Show: Exhibitor Applications Open
Exhibitor applications are open now for our 7th annual Arts & Craft Show. The event slated for Oct. 24-25 will showcase up to 80 exhibitors selling handmade items.
It is open to HLOKC members and the general public.
Interested exhibitors can apply online, in person or by mail. Booths sizes are single (6' x 8') and double (12' x 8'). The deadline for applications is Oct. 10.

Member Billiards Tournament
Rack ‘em up! This tournament is open to all members (men and women) and all skill levels. It will be an 8-ball Pairs Tournament - also known as Scotch-Double Pairs. Players will be divided into groups by skill level, with moderate players paired with top players through a blind draw. So don’t be shy about your skill level.
There is no entry fee. A sign-up sheet is in the Billiards Room as well as printouts for the Rules of Play.

Ukulele Shindig
Our own ukulele players will perform music from the 60s and 70s during this July 24 shindig. This is free

Movie Goers
Each month, we watch a movie together and munch on popcorn. July’s feature is “One for the Money” with Katherine Heigl and Debbie Reynolds. We’ll have the large screen with close-captioning turned on. There’s no fee but please sign up at the Front Desk so we know how much popcorn to have ready.

Karaoke Party
Grab a mic and take the stage. Or just come to listen and cheer others along. HLOKC is a long-time fan favorite. We host it every month on the third Friday. Events are free to members and no sign-up is required.

Songs of Summer by the ROMEOS
Start the weekend early with Songs of Summer by the ROMEOS - Retired Old Men Entertaining Others. They’re performing live music in the lobby. The event is free and open to members and guests 50+.
