Longevity 101: Aging and Osteoporosis

The Longevity 101 series is a partnership with OU Health.

Monthly sessions are open to the public.

Discussion and learning this month focuses on osteoporosis, which is called a silent disease because you typically don’t show symptoms until a bone breaks. A hip fracture can lead to serios complications, including infections, blood clots, pneumonia, even death. Learn about the causes, risk factors and treatments.

It’s recommend that women 65+ and men 70+ to have routine bone density tests.
